I am planning to get a kit for my son. It will be a first time build for him (second build for me, I will help him but we are both pretty inexperienced). I was going to get him the Classic Fuzz kit, because I really like the sound, it's really versatile, and also looked like a pretty simple build. But, I see it's not listed on the site anymore. Assume it's not available? Can anyone recommend a kit that will have a similar sound to the Classic Fuzz?

Thanks!

It has been renamed the Modded Fuzz Kit

Yeah, it's still available but has been renamed the "Modded Fuzz" because it contains modifications that the original silicon version of the Fuzz Face didn't include:

EDIT: OK, so WMP1 & Coolhand can type faster than me!

The plan is to eventually release a very basic 2-knob silicon fuzz face kit, more geared towards first time builders, and call it the "classic fuzz". So that's the reason for the renaming. FWIW, the "modded fuzz" is still a very easy kit suitable for first time builders.
