It's from an old Ibanez L series delay. I figure someone here must have repaired an Ibanez L (or 10 series) pedal at some point, or even just saw those pots somewhere while shopping for parts. They have a D shaft. One of the pots is dirty, worn out, whatever... and it acts up. Digital circuits do not like anything short of perfection from the analog components.

Have you tried a squirt of contact cleaner in it to see if you can clean it up?

It's not necessarily scratchy so much as it just acts up. It only works in some positions, and if I so much as breath on the other knobs, I get awesome yet inconsistent things like detuned repeats and random SPROING noises. I already took it apart to look and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I'll give a whirl anyways. It couldn't hurt!

Is that the Digital Delay (DDL, DDL10 or DDL20)? The 4 pots make me think so, because the "Delay" has three in line, the "Modualtion Delay" six pots. Let me know. I could open up one of mine and see the type pot you made need (if it needs to be replaced).

It's the DDL. I know they were made by Alps because the sticker is still there, and I know the values, but I don't think those particular ones are available anymore. Mouser doesn't stock them, and it looks like what Alpha makes isn't quite right either... too small of a body and/or the wrong type of shaft.

Whats the value? I have few dead L series pedals (Yeah, I used to collect them) and good amount of parts. Maybe I have a spare pot.

That would be great!

You don't even have to desolder them from the boards if you don't want to... I can do that.
