Hello,

New builder here. Accidentally soldered the pictured '103' hole shut and after a few attempts was able to heat it up and use the primitive solder vacuum push pen to get it clear. However in the process of clearing it, Im worried I damaged the board.

Notice i singed off the top metal circle? Is this an issue? Am I okay to continue on like normal?

Thanks for any help!

Looks like you lifted the solder pad on the component side of the PCB, but there's no circuit trace attached on that side and the solder pad on the rear of the board looks to be OK. I would say proceed--you should be OK.

Tried searching but didnt see a thread for this-

as far as yellow disc capacitors go, is 'SL 47J' the same as '1 - 47pF Ceramic disc capacitor (round yellow with “47” on the body) ' as listed in my parts checklist?

Thanks for any of your help

Yeah, that looks right. The 47 is the capacitance rating in picofarads and the "J" is the tolerance range (+/-5%).
