I know the BYOC Envelope Filter is a very simple beast with few parts which makes modding it sort of difficult. I was wondering, however, if there's a way to switch the direction of the filter sweep, meaning, backwards like The Mutron III or Q-Tron can do (high to low instead of low to high sweeps)? I'd be really interested in knowing if this can be done.

Possible, but not an easy mod at all. I believe you'd need a second opamp stage to invert the envelope, and then some resistor changes to recalibrate the sweep range.

I've had several Envelope Filters with wave shape selection. Funny thing is...I generally prefer wave shape down like the 440. I haven't built mine yet but have owned the ToneFactor version.

I think it's pretty easy to add an attack pot mod on the 440. In case anyone's interested.

I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for but try the tonepad version, the schematic shows some kind of sweep reversal.

Cheers.

That's the MXR Envelope Filter, totally different circuit from the 440.
