Hey Folks,

Need advice on getting rid of the loud pop when switching on my envelope filter. Is there something I can add or subtract to alleviate this problem?

Also, when the instructions say that changing the 'sweep' resistor from the original 470k to the 820k or even 1M will "increase the range of the sweep" , is that to say the effect will become more pronounced? More like the Q-Tron/Mutron/maxon etc.?

I like the effect but sometimes wish it was more intense. More "BWOWWWW" than "Beeooooooo"

Know what I mean?

Thanks in advance for the responses! (please?)

Cheers!

The pop is most often caused by caps at the input or output. Since there's already a pulldown resistor at the front, I'll suggest adding one to the end of the circuit too.

Notice the .047 cap at the top, next to the 10uF electrolytic. Solder a 2M2 resistor between the top of the .047 and the (negative) far end of the 10uF cap.
