This is my second build (Silver Pony being my first) and I have not been successful with the Germanium boost. Here are the details:

- Bypass does not work. No signal when pedal is not engaged.
- When pedal is engaged. No signal but LED does light up. This was attempted with a 9V adapter.

I have a multimeter but I am NOT too experienced with it. What would be some good troubleshooting steps I can perform with a multimeter to isolate the problem?

Matt

Looks to me like you have the signal and ground wires reversed on the output jack.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I checked the wiring and it appears to be correct but here are some pictures specifically of the input and output jacks for you to confirm.

The output jack is definitely wired backwards.

I removed the wire from the output jack and re-soldered based off the image in the instructions PDF. This did not work.

File comment: This is the instructions I am following from the PDF. I think the image is incorrect.

But then I read the written instructions and they seem to contradict:
"The wire from the OUT eyelet goes to the tip of the mono jack."

So I matched up the connector with the tip and you were correct it is wired the opposite.

Can you confirm the that image I attached from the instructions is incorrect? Just for my own sanity.

Thanks for your help!

I've asked Nick to correct that wiring diagram in the Germanium Boost instructions, as well as all other kit instructions that use it.
