I would like to “brighten” up my Champlifier. I have read that adding a bright cap (.022 uf from the middle to right lug on the vol pot). Is this correct? If i want it brighter, what would be the next cap to use?

I have been using an always on 7 band EQ pedal, but would like to retire it.

No. That's not the correct value. .022uF is too big. Look at the bright channel of the 5F6-A schematic. There is a .001uF cap that jumpers lugs 3 and 2 of the volume pot. Mimic this approach.
