Awesome! I love Rush's style changes through the 70's and 80's looks-wise. One thing hasn't changed at all - Neil's HUGE kit.

Nice pics!

I like the young Lita Ford pic the best, but what is funny is that I thought Frank Marino's pic was one of Lemmy from Motorhead initially....LOL.

There's actually 2 sets of drums there. On the "Grace Under Pressure" tour Neil was on a rotating riser with standard drums on one side and electronic drums on the other. It made for one of the best drum solos by "The Professor" I've ever seen.

He puts on a clinic every single time. I remember hearing about the rotating set. Never got the chance to see it live though... I have the R30 DVD and they do a ton of overhead shots on the drums. You pretty much have to since he's nearly surrounded. And uses the whole thing. It's incredible to watch.

Truly awesome pics! That one of Alex singing is priceless! You must have had some good seats for many great shows over the years. I was a bit too young to experience the live music that you were privy to. I thought you might appreciate this one that I was able to get last September at the Rush show in Milwaukee. Neil still has a huge kit, it still rotates and he still puts on a clinic. I was finally able to get seats where I could get some decent photos after 20 years of Rush concerts.

Yes, I am still old school - black and white film, home developing and printing. DIY to the end!

Stephen,

Assuming those were all taken in Dayton or Cincinnati, I was of 5 out of those 8 concerts!
