… who sold their OG TS-808. Now, after the seller’s remorse, I’m replacing the lost one. Kept it un-modded except for the 3rd clipping diode addition to make the distortion asymmetrical (or the clipping asymmetrical-not sure of the proper way to say it)
Anyhoo-if anyone is familiar with this pedal AND the original TS, is the addition of a diode going to absolutely ruin the effect?
When I was testing it, I really liked the sound. Proper rock and roll out of a Princeton Reverb Reissue. If they don’t like it, I’ll be happy to take it back. Still, they have electronics expertise so I’ll just tell them to cut out the third diode and add a jumper. I think that can be done without removing the pcb.
