I just completed this soaring skillet. It sounds great, a really cool pedal, and I really enjoy playing it.

I bought some lettering from Etsy, and it came out bigger than I expected. I think the"Faz" and "Pan" especially look too big, I might just take those off and do something else.

I got the short brown knobs for this., But I didn't realize that rotary knob sticks out quite a bit higher than the other pots, which looks a little funky. Also, something seems wrong with it, it's incredible difficult to turn the knob, and I can only reach two out of the three positions. I'm not super worried about that though, because I really don't plan to actually plug this into two amps anyway, so basically if I can't ever turn that knob, no big deal. It's on the "left" right now, so if I just plug my amp into that jack, the Faz works. Since that know is basically non functional, and it sticks out further, and is also bigger, I took a taller knob and drilled out the center in order to fit over and just act as a cap. Maybe I'll try to get some brown ones in that shape.

Sooo, anyway, aesthetically it's a bit wonky at the moment, but oh well, its still fun and I like it.

This condition is often caused by pushing the knob too far down on the pot shaft, causing it to bind against the mounting nut underneath. Try loosening the knob set screw, pulling the knob up VERY slightly, and then retightening the screw.

Nice clean looking build, BTW!

Thanks, duhvoodooman!

With the knob on, it just slips before it will turn the shaft. It is definitely something with the pot itself. But it's the rotary one and it's not that important. I thought about just take it out and hardwiring the connection on the PCB, but desoldering that thing would be a pain, then I'd just have a empty hole in the board. Though I could put some other pot in there, and maybe hook it up somewhere to mod the pedal somehow.. idk, probably just leave it as is ;-)

Another thing you could try is filing the side of the rotary switch shaft so that it has a flat spot for the knob's set screw to meet. (Don't let the shavings fall into the pedal, of course.)

Update - I found some other knobs that I think look better.
