Yay! I can't believe I did it and it worked first time for a total newbie. Total time was probably a comfortable, relaxing 4 hours.

The mistakes I made were where I had 2 wires to solder into the same spot, I should have done them both at the same time, instead of doing one first then evenually finding out I had another one to solder in.
Also, when applying the decals for the 'speed' and 'warp' I placed them a bit too high.

I'm stunned that it worked, with no trouble shooting (great instructions Keith).

Well here it is... is the speed of the tremolo supposed to get slower the more you turn it up? Or did I wire something backwards?

Here are the pics.

Nice neat build 8)

I'm doing my first one soon - hope it goes that well !

Those decals look nice - and no obvious edges - how did you manage that (or was it careful photography ? )

Anyway well done,

Tim

Thanks.

I'm pleased how the decals came out. They don't show an outline at all. I used a clear matte spray instead of a gloss and it came out well. Almost looks like it was silk screened, shame I didn't get their placement perfect though.

BTW, this pedal sounds great. I've impressed myself. :D

That hammertone paint does a good job of hidding the edges of decals. Nice work.

Keith, have I put the board in upside down?
Should the components not be visible?

1) no, the board is facing the right way

2) the speed should speed up as you turn clockwise. you probbaly wired a pot wrong.

however, your pedal looks great, and i'm sure it sounds great, because mine does. congratulations, and let's just hope you have more money, because once you've done one, you can't stop.

The R1 and R3 labels on the board are mixed up. This is explained in the instructions. If you want the more logical clockwise = faster taper, then switch the R1 and R3 wires.

This pedal does sound awesome. I'm totally thrilled that it worked, I'm just sorry that the whole build process was over so quick.

I need more money, I want to buy a few more kits. Great job Keith! I don't understand why there aren't more kit things available to make.

I'm saving my pennies for when the Slow Gear clone comes out!
