Sup guys!
Got another diode question.
I am going to build a Selmer Buzztone. It uses 3.3v instead of 9. To make it daisy chainable with standard power supplies im going to add a voltage converter to the power jack to convert 9v to 3.3 HOWEVER for coolness effect and retroness I want the battery power to run off of two double As like the circuit was designed to. Similar to the FZ-1. But the voltage regulator wont work when 3.3v passes through it from the battery. It needs at least 4v to work. SO I thought I would hook up the battery and the power jack independently on the board and use a couple diodes to prevent power from backing into the voltage regulator and to prevent power from backing into the battery power supply respectively when using either one to power the pedal. Alternatively instead of using a Diode on the battery supply I could just wire a on/off switch in to the battery supply and when using the power jack turn the battery switch off.
ANYWAY for 3.3v power protection would a standard 1n4001 work?
