Using a 2n7000 as a "clipping diode" is it correct to tie the gate and source together and the drain to ground? And if so, is the way that I am attempting to do it correct? (see photo)

My understanding that you can tie the gate to either the source or the drain, but the two give different FV's and different turn-on behavior. Check out the explanations in this post at the DIYstompboxes forum: https://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/ ... #msg769017
