When on or off, the large beaver rams head is very quiet to the point that I can barely hear it with a 20 watt amp cranked. This is my first kit and first time doing much soldering. I don’t think I have a multimeter, but I might.Image

The first thing I would recommend is to rewire your footswitch, because that looks pretty rough. There's some guidance on how to prep the footswitch here: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=33293

Also, the 100uf electrolytic cap at the bottom right of the PCB is mounted backwards, though that is unlikely to be the main problem here.

If those two things don't solve your issue, working through this process is highly recommended: viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52188

Thanks, I got it to work. As for flipping the capacitor, how would I discharge it?

I wouldn't worry about discharging that cap with only a 9V charge on it, but you can always just short together the two solder joints for the leads on the bottom of the PCB (with the power disconnected of course).

What did you do to get the pedal working? Inquiring minds want to know!

A wire for the input jack was frayed and shorting on the case. A solder joint going to the switch was also weird. Re-soldering the two fixed the issue and the pedal sounds great! Thanks for the help.

Glad to see you got it sorted!
